DW24 - Photos Day 2

On Day 2, our programming began with the 4th annual Frederick Douglass Symposium, a half-day event bringing together community members and activists, international academics, archivists, museum curators and others for a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives.

Next, we enjoyed a dynamic panel discussion on “Policing Black Bodies” at Queen’s University and, at 2 Royal Avenue, an exhibition opening and discussion panel on “The Power of Parallels”. In the evening, we joined our co-hosts at Redeemer Central in their beautiful space for one of our highlight events of the week: The first Reading Frederick Douglass Together event in Northern Ireland!

We finished the day with a double feature film screening at Queen's Film Theatre! See below for some impressions from Day 2!

Video footage from Day 2 will be available HERE soon.
