Welcome to #DouglassWeek 2025!

This is our 5th anniversary as well as the 180th anniversary of Frederick Douglass travelling to Ireland and the UK - what an exciting time! We are so thrilled to have you all join us for #DouglassWeek 2025, which will be taking place in Boston, MA, with additional events and contributions from Cork, Ireland, Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Rochester and Washington D.C. and online.

Throughout the week, we'll be celebrating the powerful legacy of Frederick Douglass, his family and other changemakers. We will also explore the many contemporary issues related to his life and work, including identity, race and equal rights. As always, our programming and activities are centered on the themes of connectivity, co-creation and collaboration.
